Just the sound of a 12ga pump action selecting a round in the chamber is enough to scare them off.

While one shot from 12ga is usually enough to get the job done. Firepower (number of available rounds in the magazine) for some may be a concern. Most standard 12 ga pump actions hold 5-7 rounds.
Enter the Kel-Tec KSG 12ga pump action shotgun. The super pump action shotgun.
The Kel-Tec KSG 12ga shotgun comes with two magazine tubes holding 7 rounds each put one in the chamber and you have 15 rounds of 12ga firepower.
The Kel-Tec KSG 12ga is of a bulp design which means its loaded from the rear.
Ergonomics on the Kel-Tec KSG 12ga is stellar and like no other 12ga pump i have ever held. You definately get that tactical feel the minute you pick it up and point it. The Kel-Tec KSG 12ga comes standard with a pistol grip and a rubber tipped butt stock for recoil control.
The overall lenght is just 26 inches making it idle for manuvering in close quarters e.g clearing a house or apartment. The barrel is 18.5" long and is furnished with 1913 mil-spec rails for mounting optics on top and a foregrip / flashlight on the bottom.
The Kel-Tec KSG 12ga is also equipped with a selector switch just behind the trigger guard on the side that you can use to switch from one magazine tube to the next.
I would load different types of ammo per tube such as slugs in one tube for long range targets and 00 buck for anything with in the 20 yard range.
Weight is not the best empty its 6.9 lbs and loaded its a little over 8 lbs.
